On March 25, 2020, Premier Jason Kenney announced compliance measures under the Public Health Act. Effective immediately, Alberta has implemented legislation to require Albertans to comply with all public health measures. Penalties and fines of $1,000 per violation can be enforced by peace officers and police. It is expected that this power will be extended to municipal officers as well.
This is extreme. It highlights the need for all members to act responsibly and ensure that we are following all public health measures.
MANDATORY PUBLIC HEALTH MEASURES
International travelers returning to Canada MUST self-isolate upon return to Canada. Mandatory Self-isolation also includes if you are a close contact of a person with confirmed COVID-19 (provides care, lives with, or has close physical contact)

No gatherings with more than 15 people allowed;

Cancellation of events that:

Have less than 15 people if it is made up of vulnerable people (seniors) or essential staff (health care providers, front line staff)

Has activities that promote transmission (like singing , cheering, close contact or sharing food)

Is in a space that does not allow for 6 ft (two meters) between attendees.

Recreation and entertainment facilities are closed
Restaurants, cafes and bars

Buffets are prohibited, bars and nightclubs are closed, and sit-down restaurants are limited to 50% capacity or 50 people whichever is less.
