COVID-19 RESPONSE
The KFN Administration Office is currently open Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm for essential services. We ask all staff and visitors to adhere to the public health guidelines. There are Security personnel available to provide further information. We ask all visitors to first contact our office by phone or email with your inquiry before visiting in person.
Kapawe'no First Nation declared a State of Local Emergency to address the risks associated with COVID-19 and will remain in effect until further notice.

KFN ADMINISTRATION
The Administration Office will only be providing essential services until further notice. These services include;

Administration payroll - all current employees will receive their regular pay as per requirement due to pandemic.

Social Assistance will continue

Post-Secondary students will continue to receive payment
HOUSING
Essential Services Include:

Furnace servicing for furnace that are totally inoperable. No minor issues will be considered.

Plumbing: Consideration will be given for no water issue, flooding issues. No minor repairs will be considered at this point in time.

NO OTHER HOUSING ISSUES WILL BE CONSIDERED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
CONTRACTORS
Only contracts that are already in place will be considered, that will be inclusive of contractors that will not be required to enter the homes. Invoicing will only be accepted via email, there is no drop off option as the band office is closed.
Check Release Date and Pick UP
Checks will only be disbursed on Fridays from the band office from the time of 1:00 – 2:00 pm.
GARBAGE COLLECTION
Garbage collection will continue as per regular schedule
STAY SAFE & HEALTHLY
If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, please self-isolate for 14 days

If you are experiencing any of the above symptoms, please go to the AHS website https://www.albertahealthservices.ca and complete the COVID-19 Online Screening Tool that is located at the top of the page.
If you are experiencing extreme shortness of breath, call 911.
You can call 811 for medical advice, however, please be advised that the wait times may be very long.
Self-isolation means to STAY HOME except for emergency care at the hospital. If you are on self isolation, arrange with family or friend's for delivery of items you may need.
REMEMBER
Hand washing is the most effective way to break the spread of infection, please wash your hands before you eat, or touch your eyes, nose and mouth. If you are coughing, cough into your shirt/sleeve.
